What is a comprehensive eye exam?
A comprehensive eye exam consists of assessing the visual status
of the patient's eyes,
as well as evaluation the internal and external ocular
health. This includes testing for
glaucoma, cataracts, pupil reflex, color vision, peripheral vision,
and depth perception.
Can I wear contact lenses?
Have you been told or thought that you could not wear contacts
because of dry eyes or
too much astigmatism. Those days may be over. Dr. Parks
has experience fitting
difficult cases such as astigmatism, dry eyes, and bifocal contact
lenses. There are
currently new contact lens designs for individuals who need
multiple distances, up
close, intermediate and distance.
Although many patients are already wearing contact lenses, they
are often not
completely satisfied with their current lenses. Our contact
lens service centers around
meeting the needs of both the previous and new contact lens
wearer. Whether you
need them for sports, work or occasionally, we can choose the best
lenses for you.
What if I need new eyeglasses?
Eyeglasses should be more than just someone filling your
prescription. At our office Dr.
Parks and Linda, our optician, will help you design a pair of
eyeglasses that will meet
the needs of your lifestyle. Whether they're to help you see
the computer or to block
out the glare of the sun, we have the answer to your problem.
Are you bothered by glare, especially at night? Try an
anti-reflective lens.
Are your glasses too heavy? Try a titanium frame. They are
lighter and stronger than
metal frames. You can also try polycarbonate lenses. They are 30%
thinner and lighter
weight than plastic lenses.
Are you happy with the look of your glasses? There are
many things that can be done
to make your glasses as fashionable and cosmetically appealing as
possible. Tints,
aspheric lenses, edge polishing, and anti-reflective lenses are
just a few of the things
we can do to make you more comfortable wearing your new
glasses.
